So Lauren and I went to the supermarket today, where this total douche works in the deli. I hate the guy. He’s one of those “brah”s who is extroverted but he’s bad at it, if you get what I’m saying? Well, so lo and behold, he ends upbeing the guy taking care of us at the deli. Well, while he’s slicing our meat and cheese, he tries to converse.

Him: “So what are you guys up to today?”
Me: “We are shopping at the grocery store.”

Lauren thought I was an asshole. I thought I was effective.

Sorry I haven’t updated… been trying to find content for allmysportsteamssuck.com but there really hasn’t been a whole lot of stuff out there…

And my life has gotten rather boring.

I was supposed to go to Hilton Head this weekend to join my cousins, aunt, and uncle for the weekend. Unfortunately, I failed at flying standby and couldn’t get out of Phoenix in time to make the only open connection to Hilton Head and/or Savannah. So here I am, spending my weekend in Phoenix, and going in to work on Monday.

For the fourth time, the house search has resumed… This time it’s for real, I hope. My job security is a lot better than it was the previous times, so I’ve got that going for me…. which is nice.

Other than that, I’m enjoying life. Nice and relaxed. I enjoy my job, I don’t have to have a bitch of a commute, with weekends off and better pay. I thought I’d hate it and be counting down the days until recall, but I’m not. In fact, I still don’t think I’ll be accepting recall, unless something huge happens (base opening in PHX or SoCal, or something that’s an easy commute). I just don’t see that happening. I might get back into the business in the future if the huge influx of retirements that was supposed to come ever ends up happening, but in the mean time, I’ll enjoy not having to go to Tulsa or Lake Charles.

In other news, Lauren and I will be trying to go to Cape Cod next week, which should be fun…. I haven’t even looked at the flights so who knows what that will be like, but I’m assuming they should be fairly open.

Came back to Boston for the weekend. The town my parents live in is just too stereotypical New England… every street is a tree, a president, a direction, or “main”. It’s nice… and quaint, I guess, but I’m too much of a modern suburban kinda guy to appreciate the quaintness.

I finally got done with AllMySportsTeamsSuck.com tonight!  So now my website creating phase is over with.  It’s a much more generic “blog” (I hate that word) than the one about my life, so I imagine there will be more potential interest in it from people who don’t know me personally.    It’ll basically be aimed towards the O’s/Fins/’yotes/Boilers but I’m sure I’ll stray once in a while, just like I do over here.   Anyway, I encourage you to check it out, even if you’re not a sports fan, I’ll try my damndest to make it readable, at least as readable as this thing is.

So I did it.  Bought the domain and another one that I’ll be working on next.
