Well jeez. It’s been a year since I’ve updated and even longer than that since I’ve had a meaningful update. That’s a shame, so let’s summarize my 2007 for you.

2007:
January – Began class at Piedmont Airlines as a first officer on the DeHavilland Dash 8.
February – Finished training at Piedmont. Got food poisoning during the Super Bowl, puked the entire last two minutes… in my friend’s hotel room. He was a Colts fan. Got based in Syracuse, NY. Moved all my stuff to Syracuse, NY. Arrived with 10 feet of snow (no lie). Planned my escape from Syracuse, NY
March – Went to Aruba with Huy. Met Leslie in Aruba. Drank iguana rum with Huy and Leslie. Enjoyed Aruba a lot. Went back to Syracuse. Sucked.
April – Went to Baltimore to see Leslie. Attended Orioles home opener with Leslie. Drank way too much liquor for 12 hours straight. Sat on the floor in the hall outside of Leslie’s apartment while she called friends to look for her keys for her (because she was too drunk to look herself).
May – Interviewed at and began training with ExpressJet. Moved shit back from Syracuse to Boston. Flew to Houston for training.
June – Drank a lot in Houston.
July – Moved shit from Boston to Phoenix. Spent a few days in Chicago with Katie and a few days in Wichita with Jen.
August – Hung out with Huy on my days off. Hung out by the pool. Lived in a crashpad in Ontario, California for a bit. Drove Adam’s stuff out to California with him.
September – Lauren (of previous post fame) comes back into the picture. Talks about mistakes and whatnot.
October – Return to Purdue for Ohio State game. Get back with Lauren. Spend the next stretches of days off going to Indianapolis.
November – Lauren visits Arizona. I work on Thanksgiving. I meet Lauren’s parents.
December – Lauren meets my parents. I celebrate Christmas early. Lauren decides she’s going to move in with me.

So that was my 2007 for you. 2008 has been off to a fast start too. Lauren moved in around the 20th of January and we’ve lived together for a month and nobody has wanted to kill anyone else yet. On her birthday, the 31st, I took her to Sedona. On the way up, I rear ended a guy at about 5 MPH, enough to punch a hole in his bumper (the bumper of his Lexus) and a hole in my bumper… $2700 to fix. Later that day, I proceed to blow out a tire on the freeway while going around 80MPH. Fantastic day.

New paragraph time. February was uneventful. Watched the Super Bowl in San Diego on the Tijuana tv station, because somehow we had reception for that but not for the local Fox affiliate. Went to Tucson for a few days. Spent my birthday bored, but not working. Went to a hockey game that went into a 12 round shootout. Remarkable.

So that’s it. That’s the last 14 months of my life in a nutshell. I’m back with the girl that made the last few chapters of the LJ seem like a tragedy. Whether or not it’s a good idea will only be figured out in time. I’m thinking and hoping it’s the right decision, but that’s not really in my control.

Every time I post, I always say that I should update this more, and I really ought to, because I enjoy looking back at all these posts and reading and reminiscing with myself. Time will only tell if I can keep this resolution that continually escapes me.
