This might be too intellectual…

When Julius Caesar came across a statue of Alexander the Great, he began to cry.   When asked why he was crying, he responded, ”Do you think I have not just cause to weep, when I consider that Alexander at my age had conquered so many nations, and I have all this time done nothing that is memorable.”   And before you call him a pussy, this is a guy who was captured by pirates, who asked for 20 pieces of gold for ransom, he told them he was worth 50, and then said he’d come back and kill them when he was released.  They called his bluff, he was released, came back with a motherfucking legion and killed them all.

Anyway, the quote made me think.  Or perhaps I should say that it inspired me.

As you look back in history, the ones that are remembered are those who were great orators.  Caesar, Washington, Lincoln, even Hitler.

I think of myself as a good speaker (especially after the judge told me I should go to law school and apologized profusely for having to find me guilty, despite giving “one of the best defenses I’ve heard in a long long time”), and I’m feeling unchallenged.  Like Caesar, ambitious and a bit power hungry.  This has inspired me to set lofty goals, but I want to be the name remembered for thousands of years after my death, not just forgotten a month later because nobody cared much about grumpy old grandpa.

The Chris Ford legacy starts now.

Been a while since I’ve updated:
What I learned tonight:
     -girls are unreliable
     -girls are whores
-girls don’t necessarily have anything to offer.

Oh wait, I already knew that.  Scranton H2O and I were macking on easily the two hottest girls at the Cactus tonight and it went well while they were sober and the onset stages of drunkenness, but for some reason once they got trashed they left.  Saddening.  Oh well, c’est mon vie.

Spring break in Vegas starting Monday…  yup.
